We are recruiting!  We are currently looking for Games Masters to join our team here at Exit Plan Edinburgh.

Background

Exit Plan Edinburgh is an escape room experience.  We essentially lock groups of players into a gaming area consisting of multiple rooms.  They need to find clues and solve puzzles to ‘escape’ within the 60 minute time limit.  Hopefully if you have got this far through our website you already know the format!

It is important to us that we are not just simply another escape game.  We aim to give our guests the best experience possible and go the extra mile.  We also aim to have the most fun, challenging and unique games.

What does this job  involve?

As Games Master, your role will generally involve the following:

• Greeting guests as they arrive
• Deliver a briefing to groups to explain the rules and storyline
• Monitor groups progress throughout games and provide clues/assistance where required
• Chat with groups after game completion and take a group picture
• Reset the game for the next group
• Cleaning and tidying up of the venue as required
• Responding to booking enquiries by email/phone

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for individuals who are confident, motivated, outgoing and responsible.  You need to be able to speak comfortably in front of groups and give a short introduction to the games.  This may be in character to add to the experience for our guests.  You will need to be at least 18 years of age.  You will also need to be flexible to work at weekends and during evenings.

We are a new start up company and like to keep things relaxed and informal.  So we are looking for individuals who will be self motivated, will contribute to our team and will have fun whenever they are here!

Position details

Job Role:  Games Master

Hours per week:  Zero hours contract (possibly becoming part/full time as we add games)

Rate:  £8.25 per hour

Location:  Exit Plan Edinburgh, 3 Queen Street, Edinburgh

Application Deadline:  21/02/16

Due to the nature of the business and because we are a new start up, contracts will initially be on a zero hour contract basis.  This will provide flexibility to you and us.  We anticipate that the hours will be between 12 to 18 hours per week – mostly at weekends.  We may also be looking to move to a part time contract with set weekly hours once we are busier with more rooms in future.
